Test Engineer
Develops and improves electrical test processes, control-system verification methods, and automated test equipment for relays, PLCs, and electrical assemblies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering may be considered with relevant industry experience and active enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program
Test engineering experience developing, implementing, and improving electrical test processes
Experience programming, configuring, and verifying relays and PLC-based control systems
Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories PLCs, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, or comparable industrial control platforms
Experience evaluating electrical test methods and implementing process improvements
Experience designing and building test equipment, fixtures, and test stations
Knowledge of electrical systems, industrial controls, and relay-based protection or control systems
Experience creating test procedures, verification methods, and technical documentation
Preferred Skills
Experience with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories PLCs and relays
Electrical testing and troubleshooting experience
Experience building wire harnesses
Experience assembling electrical control panels or electrical assemblies
Familiarity with automated test systems and data-acquisition equipment
Experience supporting manufacturing test operations
Experience improving test efficiency, quality, repeatability, and reliability
Job Responsibilities
Develop, document, and implement electrical test processes
Review existing testing methods and identify opportunities for improvement
Program, configure, and verify relays and PLC-based control systems
Define product test requirements, procedures, acceptance criteria, and verification methods
Design and build electrical test equipment, fixtures, and test stations
Recommend test equipment and tooling based on product and production requirements
Troubleshoot electrical systems, relays, controls, test equipment, and wiring issues
Validate test equipment and processes before production implementation
Improve test cycle time, repeatability, quality, and reliability
Create and maintain electrical test procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation
Provide technical direction to test technicians
Support wire-harness and electrical-assembly testing
Analyze test failures and support root-cause investigations
Implement corrective actions and test-process improvements
Support product introduction, production testing, and ongoing test-system maintenance
Pay: 75k-95k/year

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
