Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Mechanical design engineering experience

  • Sheet-metal design experience

  • Experience applying design-for-manufacturing principles

  • Electrical switchgear design experience

  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software

  • Experience creating production-ready models, assemblies, and drawings

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with Solid Edge

  • Proficiency with SolidWorks

  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor

  • Experience designing enclosures, cabinets, panels, or fabricated metal assemblies

  • Knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication processes, bend allowances, tolerances, and fastening methods

  • Familiarity with electrical equipment packaging and component clearances

Job Responsibilities

  • Design sheet-metal components and assemblies for electrical switchgear

  • Create and revise 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings

  • Apply design-for-manufacturing requirements to mechanical designs

  • Develop enclosure, panel, cabinet, and structural component designs

  • Define dimensions, tolerances, materials, bends, and fastening requirements

  • Review designs for manufacturability, fit, function, and production feasibility

  • Support prototype fabrication and production implementation

  • Resolve design issues identified during manufacturing and assembly

  • Update drawings and models based on engineering changes

  • Maintain mechanical design documentation and revision records

Pay: 90k-100k/year
