Raw Materials Planner
Ensures raw material availability through master production scheduling, supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier performance improvement.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production, Operations, Business, or a related field
5 or more years of experience in materials management and inventory management
Experience with master production scheduling
Experience with Sales and Operations Planning
Experience with purchasing and supplier management
Experience in factory, industrial, manufacturing, or logistics environments
Experience with forecasting and supply planning systems
Proficiency with ERP or planning platforms such as M3 or SAP
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods, including Value Stream Mapping, pull-flow systems, and Kanban
Preferred Skills
Bachelor’s degree specifically in Supply Chain or Production Management
APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management
Certified Professional in Supply Management
Experience improving supplier delivery performance
Experience reducing inbound logistics costs
Experience optimizing inventory levels and working capital
Experience developing raw material replenishment strategies
Job Responsibilities
Ensure raw materials are available in the required quantities and within established production timelines
Develop and maintain master production schedules and supply plans
Manage purchasing activities for raw materials and production supplies
Monitor inventory levels, material requirements, and supplier delivery schedules
Identify and resolve current and projected material shortages
Improve supplier delivery performance through performance tracking and corrective actions
Coordinate raw material flow across manufacturing and logistics operations
Reduce inbound transportation and logistics costs
Optimize inventory investment, cash flow, and working capital
Maintain forecasting, planning, purchasing, and inventory data within applicable ERP systems
Apply Value Stream Mapping, pull-flow, and Kanban methods to material planning processes
Analyze forecast demand, production requirements, supplier capacity, and inventory availability
Develop material replenishment plans that support production schedules
Track planning metrics, supplier performance, inventory accuracy, and material availability
Pay: 75k-82k/year

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $82,000.00 per year
