Job Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
  • Automotive electrical engineering internship experience
  • Familiarity with programming languages and controls software
  • Familiarity with Controller Area Network protocols
  • Familiarity with SAE J1939
  • Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems
  • Ability to perform electrical engineering analysis and design

Preferred Skills

  • Automotive high-voltage training or certification
  • Familiarity with power electronics
  • Familiarity with electric machines
  • Knowledge of energy storage systems
  • Experience with heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems
  • Experience with vehicle electrification systems
  • Familiarity with embedded controls and vehicle communication networks

Job Responsibilities

  • Design high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles
  • Perform electrical system and subsystem engineering analysis
  • Develop new electrical systems and redesign existing systems
  • Integrate high-voltage components into new and existing vehicle platforms
  • Develop electrical system requirements and design documentation
  • Support vehicle electrification system architecture
  • Evaluate power electronics, electric machines, and energy storage components
  • Support controls software and CAN/J1939 communication integration
  • Verify electrical designs for functionality, reliability, and cost effectiveness
  • Support system testing, validation, troubleshooting, and design updates


Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
