Structural Engineer

Designs and analyzes steel and concrete building structures using engineering calculations, structural modeling software, and applicable building codes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline

• Active Professional Engineer license

• 4 or more years of experience designing building structural systems

• Experience designing steel structures

• Experience designing concrete structures

• Advanced proficiency with STAAD.Pro

• Working knowledge of Revit

• Knowledge of building codes and applicable structural design standards

• Experience performing hand calculations and computer-aided structural calculations

• Experience using spreadsheets and Mathcad for engineering analysis

• Experience performing 3D structural modeling and analysis

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting structural design across multiple project types

• Experience developing design criteria and calculation packages

• Experience reviewing structural drawings and construction documents

• Familiarity with structural detailing and contract drawing development

Job Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete building systems

• Complete hand calculations and computer-aided engineering calculations

• Develop structural calculations using spreadsheets and Mathcad

• Create and analyze 3D structural models using STAAD.Pro

• Apply applicable building codes and structural design standards

• Prepare structural design criteria, calculations, and technical documentation

• Provide structural design input for contract drawings

• Coordinate with structural designers during drawing development

• Review drawings for consistency with structural calculations and design requirements

• Support project design activities through construction document completion

Pay: 40-54/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $54.00 per hour
