Instrumentation and Controls Engineer position focused on semiconductor tool installation, industrial control systems, technical specifications, and code-compliant design review.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline from an ABET-accredited university may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering design of industrial control systems
  • Knowledge of International Fire Code (IFC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), UL, and IEEE standards
  • Experience selecting and specifying electrical and controls equipment and systems
  • Experience reviewing vendor submittals against contractual and technical requirements
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 2+ years of experience with semiconductor manufacturing tools, including design, installation, or cleanroom use

Preferred Skills

  • Field experience working directly with subcontractors and construction personnel
  • Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools such as Revit or AutoCAD
  • Experience with factory control systems, fire alarm systems, chemical controls, and toxic gas monitoring systems
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary industrial or manufacturing construction projects

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and design oversight during installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools
  • Review instrumentation and controls designs related to factory control systems, fire alarms, chemical controls, and toxic gas monitoring systems
  • Develop and review technical specifications for tool installation
  • Review vendor submittals and design deliverables for compliance with technical requirements, project requirements, and applicable codes
  • Select and specify electrical and controls equipment and systems
  • Coordinate with facilities, construction, vendors, and internal project teams during project execution


Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
