Field Service Engineer
Field Service Engineer position focused on installation, maintenance, validation, repair, and support of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline, including military experience, plus 3 years of direct experience repairing laboratory equipment
Associate degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline, including military experience, plus 5 years of direct experience repairing laboratory equipment
High school diploma plus 7+ years of direct experience repairing laboratory equipment
Knowledge of analytical equipment, laboratory environments, and/or instrument control software
Vendor-issued certification on relevant laboratory equipment
Knowledge of laboratory safety practices defined by company or site safety requirements
Ability to travel by air, vehicle, or other transportation as business requires
Ability to travel up to 50% depending on territory and customer base
Valid driver’s license
Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
Preferred Skills
Experience installing, maintaining, validating, and repairing laboratory equipment
Experience supporting analytical workflows in laboratory environments
Experience with service parts inventory, test equipment, tools, and field service assets
Experience identifying billable service work, consumables needs, and service leads
Experience reporting product quality improvement opportunities through quality notification processes
Job Responsibilities
Perform installations, maintenance, validations, and repairs on laboratory equipment
Ensure service activities comply with service standards and key performance indicators
Engage with customers to understand analytical workflows and service needs
Provide training, support, upgrades, and service recommendations for laboratory equipment
Support account profitability through efficient service execution
Identify revenue opportunities, including billable work, consumables, and service leads
Maintain assigned assets, including tools, test equipment, telecommunications equipment, and service parts inventory
Report product improvement opportunities through the quality notification process
Attend higher-level certification training and company-sponsored development programs
Complete administrative tasks, including time reporting and assigned training
Pay: 60k-79k/year

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $79,000.00 per year
