Test Engineer
Engineering Test Engineer responsible for supporting engineering development, qualification testing, technical documentation, and laboratory testing for aerospace, defense, and electromechanical systems.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline
0 to 5 years of engineering or engineering test experience
Ability to read engineering drawings
Ability to read procedures and technical documentation
Experience or ability to work in laboratory test facilities
Experience or ability to work in environmental test facilities
Ability to reside within commuting distance of Bohemia, New York, or relocate before assignment start
Ability to travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for initial product training and occasional engineering reviews
Ability to travel less than 10%
U.S. citizenship required

Job Responsibilities
Support engineering development testing
Support qualification testing activities
Read and apply engineering drawings, procedures, and technical documentation
Perform testing in laboratory environments
Perform testing in environmental test facilities
Support aerospace or defense hardware testing as required
Use instrumentation during engineering and qualification testing
Support data collection using thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, power analyzers, tachometers, and data acquisition systems
Support test setup, execution, and documentation
Prepare technical reports
Prepare discrepancy reports
Prepare engineering documentation
Support configuration management activities
Support engineering change processes
Assist with testing of electromechanical systems, motors, fans, compressors, refrigeration systems, and environmental control systems
Travel for initial product training and occasional engineering reviews as required
Pay: 40-60/hr

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
