Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer responsible for drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, site layout, roadway geometry, and stormwater management for civil infrastructure projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 5 to 15+ years of civil engineering experience
• Civil 3D experience
• HEC-RAS experience
• HEC-HMS experience
• AutoCAD experience
• Experience with drainage basin delineation
• Experience with hydrologic analysis
• Experience with hydraulic design of drainage systems
• Experience performing pre-development and post-development comparative analysis
• Experience designing surface drainage structures
• Experience designing subsurface drainage structures and systems
• Experience sizing detention and retention structures
• Experience designing flow control structures
• Experience with site layout
• Experience with earthwork balancing
• Experience with geometric roadway design
• Experience selecting and integrating stormwater BMPs into drainage systems

Preferred Skills

• Professional Engineer license
• Industrial facility design experience
• Petrochemical facility design experience
• Concrete design experience
• Steel design experience
• Experience leading civil design efforts

Job Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design for site development and infrastructure projects
• Delineate drainage basins
• Perform hydrologic analysis
• Perform hydraulic analysis
• Complete pre-development and post-development drainage comparisons
• Design drainage systems
• Size and place surface drainage structures, including ditches
• Design and size subsurface drainage structures and systems
• Design and size detention structures
• Design and size retention structures
• Design and select flow control structures
• Develop site layouts
• Perform earthwork balancing
• Complete geometric roadway design
• Select stormwater BMPs for project requirements
• Integrate required stormwater BMPs into drainage systems
• Support concrete and steel design activities
• Lead civil design efforts as needed
• Support coordination with junior engineers on civil design tasks
• Prepare civil design documentation using Civil 3D and AutoCAD
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
