Controls Engineer responsible for electrical control systems design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting for high-speed food and beverage machinery.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Extensive electrical machine design, controls, and logic experience may be considered in place of degree
  • 8+ years of controls design and engineering experience for high-speed machinery
  • Rockwell Studio 5000 PLC programming experience
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Experience with safety relay systems
  • Safety PLC experience
  • Experience troubleshooting machines using wire diagrams
  • Experience troubleshooting machines through PLC logic
  • Experience with electrical control systems engineering
  • Experience with electrical control systems design
  • Experience working with high-speed machinery

Preferred Skills

  • AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
  • Food and beverage industry experience
  • Canning machinery project experience
  • Knowledge of CE European safety standards
  • Text programming experience
  • Electrical machine design experience

Job Responsibilities

  • Design electrical control systems for food and beverage machinery
  • Support controls engineering for canning machinery projects
  • Develop PLC programs using Rockwell Studio 5000
  • Create and modify electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD
  • Design machine control systems for high-speed machinery
  • Apply safety relay and Safety PLC requirements to machine control designs
  • Troubleshoot machinery using electrical wire diagrams
  • Troubleshoot machinery using PLC logic
  • Support machine design controls and logic development
  • Review and apply applicable machinery safety requirements
  • Support electrical controls implementation for production machinery


Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
