Requirements

  • 5–7 years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience

  • Aerospace or high-precision manufacturing experience

  • CNC lathe machining experience with C-axis and Y-axis

  • Experience using jaws of various sizes

  • Experience using 16C and 5C collets

  • Multi-axis CNC turning experience

  • Live tooling experience

  • Sub-spindle experience

  • Experience performing complex CNC setups

  • First article inspection experience

  • GD&T knowledge

  • Blueprint reading experience

  • Experience working with tight tolerances

  • Experience machining hard-to-cut alloys

  • Experience machining heat-resistant aerospace materials

  • Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements

  • Proficiency with inspection tools

  • Experience using precision measuring techniques

Preferred Skills

  • Okuma control experience

  • Fanuc control experience

  • Y-axis turning experience

  • Aerospace alloy machining experience

  • High-precision production machining experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes for aerospace and high-precision components

  • Perform complex setups for multi-axis CNC turning operations

  • Run CNC lathe machining operations using C-axis and Y-axis capabilities

  • Use live tooling and sub-spindle functions during machining operations

  • Select and use jaws, collets, and workholding based on part requirements

  • Perform first article inspection activities

  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and tight-tolerance specifications

  • Machine hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant materials

  • Use inspection tools and precision measuring equipment to verify part quality

  • Troubleshoot CNC lathe setup, machining, tooling, and inspection issues

  • Produce parts according to established standards, procedures, and quality requirements

  • Follow AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements

Pay: 35-40/hr
