Process Engineer
Mechanical / Process Engineer responsible for process vacuum system design, application engineering, equipment sizing, technical proposal support, and customer-facing engineering support.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
3+ years of direct experience designing, sizing, and applying process vacuum systems
Experience with vacuum ejectors
Experience with eductors
Experience with liquid ring vacuum pumps
Experience with hybrid vacuum systems
Experience specifying process vacuum equipment and auxiliary equipment
Experience reviewing end-user RFQs
Experience selecting and sizing equipment to meet customer requirements and performance guarantees
Understanding of condensers used in process vacuum systems
Experience with surface condensers
Experience with barometric condensers
Ability to read and develop PFDs
Ability to read and develop P&IDs
Experience working directly with customers in a technical or applications engineering role
Ability to travel as required
Preferred Skills
Master’s degree in Engineering
Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, food processing, specialty chemical, or thermal power industries
Experience supporting custom-engineered capital equipment sales
Experience with process vacuum troubleshooting, optimization, and debottlenecking
Experience supporting startup, commissioning, or performance validation
Experience developing standardized or modular vacuum systems
Experience with process vacuum, separation technologies, or energy optimization
Responsibilities
Serve as subject matter expert for the application, design, and specification of process vacuum systems
Design and specify ejectors, eductors, liquid ring vacuum pumps, and related vacuum systems
Review customer RFQs and technical requirements
Select and size vacuum equipment and auxiliary equipment
Support proposal development with technical descriptions, performance guarantees, and scope definition
Serve as technical interface between customers, sales, and internal mechanical engineering teams
Support troubleshooting, optimization, and debottlenecking of existing process vacuum systems
Maintain and improve proprietary vacuum system application and sizing methods
Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical presentations
Support system startup, commissioning, and performance validation as required
Assist with development of standardized and modular vacuum systems
Support creation of technical literature for vacuum systems
Provide feedback on customer needs, application gaps, and product improvement opportunities
Monitor industry trends related to process vacuum, separation technologies, and energy optimization
Pay: 100k-150k/year

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
