Senior Mechanical Designer
Mechanical Designer responsible for mechanical design, Creo modeling, weldment design, layout drawings, and fixture design for capital equipment and industrial machinery.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Associate degree with relevant experience will be considered
7–10 years of mechanical design experience
Creo software experience
Engineering or design experience with capital equipment or industrial machinery
Experience with structural steel design
Experience with weldments
Experience with industrial motion systems
Experience with mechanical power transmission
Experience designing welding positioners, assembly positioners, jigs, or fixtures
Experience reviewing specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data
Experience preparing preliminary sketches, layout drawings, and detail drawings
Preferred Skills
Creo 5.0 or newer experience
Windchill experience
PDM system experience
Experience resolving design issues related to material characteristics
Experience resolving design issues related to dimensional tolerances
Experience supporting design for service requirements, manufacturing procedures, and cost
Responsibilities
Design welding and assembly positioners
Design related jigs and fixtures
Create mechanical designs using Creo
Review specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data
Prepare preliminary sketches
Create layout drawings and detail drawings
Support structural steel and weldment design activities
Support industrial motion system and mechanical power transmission design
Coordinate with engineering, service, and shop personnel to resolve design problems
Address design considerations related to materials, tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing processes, and cost
Pay: 90k-100k/year
