Textile Product Development Engineer responsible for fabric design, yarn development, weaving technologies, product performance improvement, prototype trials, and textile development system management.

Requirements

  • Degree in Textiles, Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of textile manufacturing and product development experience
  • Experience with weaving processes
  • Experience with yarn development
  • Experience with fabric construction
  • Experience with textile manufacturing processes
  • Experience designing and developing fabrics to meet customer and product performance requirements
  • Experience developing yarn constructions and specifications
  • Experience coordinating prototype development, sample trials, and pre-production activities
  • Experience using ERP or development systems
  • Experience with M3, AS400, Barco, or similar platforms
  • Experience managing multiple development projects
  • Experience maintaining fabric, yarn, and product development records
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to work around industrial textile production equipment
  • Ability to wear required PPE

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop fabrics to meet customer requirements and product performance requirements
  • Develop yarn constructions and specifications to support fabric performance objectives
  • Coordinate prototype development, sample trials, and pre-production activities
  • Work with manufacturing teams to optimize product performance and manufacturability
  • Improve existing textile products through technical development
  • Maintain fabric, yarn, and product development records and databases
  • Provide guidance and training related to fabric formation and weaving technologies
  • Manage and maintain master data across M3, AS400, Barco, Excel, and related systems
  • Support customer development initiatives
  • Support technical problem-solving activities related to textile products and processes
  • Coordinate development projects with operations, marketing, engineering, and sales teams
  • Support textile process improvements in manufacturing environments


Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
