Automotive Test Engineer responsible for test setup, test execution, data analysis, diagnostics, and reporting for powertrain, hybrid electric, electrical hardware, and reliability testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 0–3 years of automotive industry experience

  • Experience with powertrain control devices

  • Experience with hybrid electric systems

  • Experience with electrical hardware or reliability testing

  • Experience with systems diagnostics

  • Testing experience

  • Experience creating data settings

  • Experience creating test specifications, standards, or test schedules

  • Experience preparing and setting up test equipment

  • Experience conducting moderately complex tests

  • Experience documenting and summarizing test results and conclusions

  • Experience analyzing and interpreting test results

  • Experience identifying test issues and developing countermeasures

  • Experience creating written test reports or formal presentations

Responsibilities

  • Create data settings, test specifications, test standards, and test schedules

  • Prepare and set up test equipment

  • Conduct moderately complex automotive tests

  • Verify testing accuracy and thoroughness

  • Determine whether additional testing is required

  • Document and summarize test results and conclusions

  • Analyze and interpret test results

  • Predict product performance or failure based on test data

  • Provide product and design data based on testing results

  • Identify issues and develop countermeasures

  • Communicate test results through written reports and formal presentations

  • Propose design changes based on test analysis

  • Recommend countermeasures based on testing results

  • Support testing related to powertrain controls, hybrid electric systems, electrical hardware, reliability, and systems diagnostics

Pay: 27-36/hr

Pay Details: $27.00 to $36.00 per hour
