Sourcing Specialist responsible for sourcing machined and fabricated parts, creating RFQ packages, analyzing category spend, and supporting supplier qualification in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • 3+ years of purchasing or sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience sourcing machined or fabricated parts
  • Experience buying machined or fabricated components
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Prior machining or fabrication experience
  • Experience estimating or quoting parts
  • Mechanical aptitude with components such as bearings and motors
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • APICS or SCM certification
  • Onsite availability

Preferred Skills

  • Prior machinist experience
  • Strategic sourcing experience
  • Buyer, Strategic Buyer, Senior Buyer, Estimator, Sourcing, or Strategic Sourcing background
  • ERP system experience
  • Supplier onboarding or supplier qualification experience
  • Supplier Quality experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with development of sourcing strategies for assigned categories
  • Identify, select, qualify, and onboard new suppliers
  • Create RFQ packages and distribute them to suppliers
  • Quote and estimate machined or fabricated parts
  • Monitor external factors that influence material and service pricing and availability
  • Analyze category spend and identify sourcing opportunities
  • Support savings initiatives, process improvements, and improved commercial terms
  • Analyze, validate, and manage large amounts of data for project support, decision support, problem solving, and trend analysis
  • Act as escalation point for delivery and pricing issues
  • Complete vetting of new suppliers
  • Ensure supplier records are created correctly within ERP
  • Maintain supplier documentation and document storage
  • Use inventory, manufacturing, engineering, and financial systems within ERP
  • Act as liaison between suppliers and internal business teams


Pay Details: $78,000.00 to $88,000.00 per year
