Senior Mechical Designer

Mechanical design role focused on Creo-based capital equipment design, industrial machinery, weldments, motion systems, and mechanical power transmission.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Associate degree with related experience considered

• 7–10 years of mechanical design experience

• Creo software experience

• Engineering experience with capital equipment or industrial machinery

• Structural steel design experience

• Weldment design experience

• Industrial motion system experience

• Mechanical power transmission experience

• Experience reading specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data

• Experience preparing layout and detail drawings

Preferred Skills

• Creo 5.0 or newer experience

• Windchill experience

• Product data management system experience

• Welding positioner design experience

• Assembly positioner design experience

• Jig and fixture design experience

Responsibilities

• Design welding and assembly positioners

• Design related jigs and fixtures

• Review specifications, engineering blueprints, tool orders, and shop data

• Resolve design issues related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, manufacturing procedures, and cost

• Prepare preliminary sketches

• Create layout drawings

• Create detail drawings

• Support mechanical design work for capital equipment and industrial machinery

Pay: 36-48/hr

Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
