Software Test Engineer

Software quality assurance role focused on automated testing, test planning, release validation, and software compatibility testing.

Job Requirements

• Active Secret clearance

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline

• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience

• Software Development Life Cycle knowledge

• Experience automating test scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, and Eggplant

• Atlassian tools experience

• Experience writing test plans, use cases, traceability matrices, and test cases

• SQL query experience for data verification, data validation, and data integrity

• Jira experience

• Git experience

• Experience with test planning, test case development, test scenario development, test script development, test execution, and reporting

• Software QA methodology experience

• Web and internet technologies experience

• Software compatibility testing experience across programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments

Preferred Skills

• NAVAIR experience

• Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment experience

• Aircraft Support Equipment experience

Responsibilities

• Implement software testing strategies

• Develop automated software test scripts

• Define testing scope for software releases

• Develop comprehensive test plans

• Build test scenarios and test cases based on approved requirements

• Develop test scenarios and scripts for software release functionality

• Plan, deploy, and manage testing efforts for assigned releases

• Conduct testing activities for complex systems and subsystems

• Perform functional testing across different software release versions

• Conduct software compatibility testing with programs, hardware, operating systems, and network environments

• Execute SQL queries for data verification, validation, and integrity testing

• Track defects using bug tracking tools

• Support test execution reporting and release validation documentation

Pay: 38-51/hr

Pay Details: $38.00 to $51.00 per hour
