Sr. Electrical Engineer
Electrical switchgear design role focused on custom low- and medium-voltage engineered-to-order solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5–10 years of experience designing custom electrical switchgear
- Experience designing low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical switchgear
- Experience developing engineered-to-order switchgear solutions
- Experience with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standards
- Experience performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
- Custom switchgear assembly design experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing build and testing processes
- Experience developing designs for cost, schedule, and performance requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead the custom design of low- and medium-voltage electrical switchgear
- Develop detailed one-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts for custom switchgear assemblies
- Ensure switchgear designs comply with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standards
- Create engineered-to-order solutions based on client specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements
- Collaborate with sales, customers, and manufacturing teams on practical and manufacturable switchgear designs
- Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies to validate switchgear system performance and safety
- Provide technical support during build and testing
- Verify custom switchgear designs meet quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
