Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5–10 years of experience designing custom electrical switchgear
  • Experience designing low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical switchgear
  • Experience developing engineered-to-order switchgear solutions
  • Experience with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standards
  • Experience performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Skills

  • Custom switchgear assembly design experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing build and testing processes
  • Experience developing designs for cost, schedule, and performance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead the custom design of low- and medium-voltage electrical switchgear
  • Develop detailed one-line diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts for custom switchgear assemblies
  • Ensure switchgear designs comply with ANSI, IEEE, and NEC standards
  • Create engineered-to-order solutions based on client specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing requirements
  • Collaborate with sales, customers, and manufacturing teams on practical and manufacturable switchgear designs
  • Perform short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies to validate switchgear system performance and safety
  • Provide technical support during build and testing
  • Verify custom switchgear designs meet quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements


Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
