Right of Way Inspector
Utility Right-of-Way Coordinator responsible for utility construction coordination, right-of-way inspection, permit documentation, CMMS updates, safety monitoring, and public-sector utility project support.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
2 years of experience working with public or private utilities
Working knowledge of public-sector right-of-way regulations
Working knowledge of construction plans
Working knowledge of construction material control
Working knowledge of job specifications
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience with Microsoft Word
Experience with Microsoft Outlook
Ability to operate standard office equipment
Ability to document project status and updates in a computerized maintenance management system
Ability to gain proficiency in a computerized maintenance management system
Ability to understand right-of-way regulations
Valid Colorado driver’s license
Ability to drive a company vehicle for assigned duties
Preferred Skills
Associate degree in Civil Engineering Design, Construction Management, or related field
Experience with Cityworks or similar CMMS platforms
Experience coordinating utility pre-construction projects
Experience coordinating utility construction projects
Experience coordinating utility maintenance projects
Experience inspecting right-of-way work
Experience with MUTCD requirements
Experience with OSHA requirements
Experience maintaining project inspection notes and permit records
Responsibilities
Oversee utility pre-construction, construction, maintenance, and related work within public rights-of-way
Coordinate utility-related operations occurring within public rights-of-way
Inspect right-of-way work in progress
Evaluate repairs, maintenance, and project activities for compliance with standards and specifications
Update right-of-way permit information in a computerized maintenance management system
Document project status and construction or warranty inspection notes
Schedule pre-construction meetings
Attend pre-construction meetings
Respond to utility emergencies or situations affecting public rights-of-way
Assess right-of-way issues and coordinate appropriate response with project management
Monitor work sites for safe work practices and procedures
Monitor compliance with MUTCD, OSHA, and safety policy requirements
Follow safety procedures and report unsafe activities or conditions
Use required safety equipment
Monitor work environments for employee and public safety
Maintain knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, codes, and regulations
Prepare forms, reports, correspondence, and related documents
Coordinate work activities with management, employees, departments, the public, contractors, and other stakeholders
Review work status and exchange project information
Respond to service or assistance requests
Participate in development of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Recommend changes and improvements to existing standards
Perform scheduled vehicle safety inspections
Clean and maintain vehicles and assigned equipment
Pay: 18-23/hr

Pay Details: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour
