Manufacturing Engineer responsible for manufacturing process improvement, automation support, tooling design, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 1-6 years of manufacturing engineering experience
  • Education or experience in a manufacturing-related field
  • Experience with project management in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment manufacturing
  • Knowledge of automation
  • Knowledge of robotics
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement
  • Knowledge of cost reduction methods
  • Knowledge of 5S
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of Kaizen planning
  • Experience with tooling, fixture, jig, or process layout design

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • SolidWorks knowledge
  • Experience designing tooling
  • Experience designing fixtures
  • Experience designing jigs
  • Experience designing process layouts
  • Experience supporting both design engineering and manufacturing engineering functions

Responsibilities

  • Lead Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Kaizen events
  • Implement process improvements across value streams
  • Support manufacturing goals related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity
  • Evaluate systems and procedures for process improvements
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Identify automation opportunities using robotics and related technologies
  • Design tooling, fixtures, jigs, and process layouts in SolidWorks
  • Support manufacturing engineering activities with design engineering overlap
  • Apply project management methods to manufacturing engineering projects


Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
