Structural Engineer
Structural engineering role responsible for lateral analysis, steel and concrete structural design, code compliance, calculation review, and structural scope ownership for industrial facility projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer license
- 4 or more years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with U.S. building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
- Experience with lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic requirements
- Experience applying building code provisions to structural design work
- Experience with structural engineering analysis software
- Experience with Navisworks
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel structures
- Experience designing and analyzing traditional concrete structures
- Experience in semiconductor industrial facilities or general industrial facilities
- Experience leading small teams
Preferred Skills
- Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering
- Experience performing calculation checks for other engineers
- Experience managing structural scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
- Experience independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct structural engineering work requiring independent judgment
- Evaluate, select, and adapt engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Perform lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic conditions
- Apply required provisions of applicable building codes
- Design and analyze steel and concrete structures
- Use structural engineering analysis software to complete design and analysis tasks
- Use Navisworks and Bluebeam to support project coordination and review activities
- Check calculations and engineering work prepared by other engineers
- Review assigned work for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance
- Manage assigned structural engineering workload
- Maintain ownership of assigned structural scope
- Support schedule, budget, and quality requirements for assigned structural work
- Provide guidance and coordination for small engineering teams
- Support industrial facility structural design activities
Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
