CNC Programmer
CNC programming and machining role focused on Mastercam, SolidWorks, CNC lathe and milling programming, wire EDM, water jet machines, setup documentation, fixture design, and precision machining.
Job Requirements
5+ years of cutting experience
5+ years of CNC programming experience
Experience programming CNC lathes
Experience programming CNC milling centers
Experience programming wire EDM machines
Experience programming water jet machines
Mastercam experience
SolidWorks experience
GD&T experience
Experience generating and editing NC code through shop processes
Experience with 2D programming and solid model programming
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
Experience setting up and operating manual and CNC lathes
Experience setting up and operating manual and CNC milling machines
Experience producing parts to required tolerances
Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Ability to work overtime during high-volume periods
Preferred Skills
Experience creating and maintaining setup SOPs for CNC programs
Experience recommending tooling solutions for metal cutting
Experience designing and manufacturing work-holding fixtures for machine tools
Experience with drilling, tapping, and deburring tasks
Experience troubleshooting machining equipment
Experience working with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining or production issues
Experience maintaining archived CNC program documentation
Job Responsibilities
Create CNC programs using Mastercam and SolidWorks
Provide accurate, efficient, documented, and archived CNC programs to the machine shop
Generate and edit NC code for all shop processes
Create and maintain setup SOPs for written programs
Program 2D parts and solid models
Recommend tooling solutions for metal cutting throughout the shop
Design and manufacture work-holding fixtures for machine tools
Set up and operate manual and CNC lathe machines
Set up and operate manual and CNC milling machines
Produce precision components according to specifications
Perform drilling, tapping, and deburring tasks
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
Measure and inspect first-article parts using precision measuring instruments
Monitor machining processes and make adjustments as needed
Ensure machines operate at optimal performance
Operate additional machines when required
Perform routine machine maintenance
Troubleshoot equipment as needed
Maintain accurate production records
Follow documentation procedures
Work with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining and production issues
Follow safety protocols
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Report safety or maintenance concerns to management
Pay: 40-42/hr
