CNC Machinist
Machining role focused on CNC and manual equipment setup, vertical lathe operation, precision component production, blueprint interpretation, and close-tolerance inspection.
Job Requirements
High school diploma, technical school, or equivalent
3+ years of machining or related experience
Vertical lathe experience
Experience setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment
Experience with horizontal lathes, vertical turret lathes, mills, drills, and related machining tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
Experience inspecting machined parts
Experience with short-run, prototype, or job shop machining
Experience navigating and making minor edits to CNC programs
Ability to conduct first-article and in-process inspections
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to bend, reach, and perform manual machining tasks
Ability to work around moving machinery, noise, oils, and coolants
Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear

Job Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, drills, and related equipment
Operate vertical lathes and vertical turret lathes
Produce precision components with close tolerances
Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, sawing, and sanding tasks
Perform progressive machining operations
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
Use jigs, fixtures, and assemblies to support accurate machining
Navigate and make minor edits to CNC programs as applicable
Verify machines are in proper working order before operation
Ensure guards and safety devices are functional
Conduct first-article inspections
Conduct in-process inspections
Monitor machining cycles for accuracy and quality
Maintain tooling and support expected tool life
Machine and handle large or complex parts as required
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Meet production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
Pay: 18-24/hr
