Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience
  • Proficiency with U.S. building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Proficiency with structural engineering analysis software
  • Proficiency with Navisworks
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel structures
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional concrete structures
  • Knowledge of lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic systems
  • Ability to apply required building code provisions
  • Experience checking structural calculations

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
  • Structural Engineer license
  • Experience with semiconductor industrial facilities
  • Experience with general industrial facilities
  • Experience leading medium-sized engineering teams

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform structural engineering analysis and design with little or no supervision
  • Plan and conduct structural engineering work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to structural design work
  • Perform lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic systems
  • Apply building code provisions to structural engineering designs
  • Perform quality control reviews of structural engineering work
  • Check structural calculations completed by other engineers
  • Manage assigned structural engineering workload
  • Own assigned portions of structural scope
  • Complete assigned structural engineering work within schedule, budget, and quality requirements


Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
