Quantity Surveyor
Commercial construction role focused on LNG project contract management, change orders, contractor valuations, site progress tracking, cost control, and commercial risk management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
5 to 10+ years of experience in quantity surveying, commercial management, or cost management on major capital projects
Experience managing construction contracts in regulated utility or energy environments
Understanding of engineering and construction methodologies
Cost control experience
Schedule management experience
Experience with LNG plant construction projects or comparable process-based industrial facilities
Ability to work full-time on site 5 days per week in active construction environments
Experience reviewing contractor progress against approved schedules and activity plans
Experience validating contractor and subcontractor valuations
Experience with invoice reconciliation and payment certification
Preferred Skills
Experience working on live LNG facilities
Brownfield construction experience
Safety-critical site experience
Familiarity with NEC, EPC, or similar contracting models
Professional accreditation such as RICS or equivalent
Experience supporting construction commissioning
Experience supporting asset handover
Experience with Early Warning and Compensation Event processes
Experience with Change Order processes
Experience reviewing complex variations, claims, and contractor quotations
Experience with daily manpower reporting and quantity tracking
Job Responsibilities
Act as lead commercial representative for assigned LNG construction projects and frameworks
Participate in Early Warning, Compensation Event, and Change Order processes
Chair change order and commercial review meetings
Review commercial submissions and evaluate cost proposals
Support dispute avoidance and dispute resolution activities
Review complex variations, claims, and contractor quotations
Support project management with invoice reconciliation and payment certification
Validate subcontractor and contractor valuations
Attend LNG construction site 5 days per week
Monitor construction progress, quantities, productivity, and commercial risks
Review contractor progress against approved schedules and activity plans
Identify project cost and schedule risks
Manage progress of risk mitigation strategies
Verify site progress through daily manpower reporting, quantity tracking, and work description reviews
Participate in cost review, risk reduction, and progress meetings
Support commissioning, performance testing, and handover activities
Ensure accurate as-built and commercial documentation
Monitor contractor compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Support site safety walks and coordination meetings
Maintain site logs and records
Ensure project documentation, change controls, and approvals follow governance and audit requirements
Provide contract advice and support to project delivery teams
Support schedule reviews and risk management processes
Support portfolio-level risk identification
Support lessons learned, post-project reviews, and efficiency improvement initiatives
Support customer, stakeholder, and regulatory engagement through commercial reporting
Pay: 36-48/hr

Pay Details: $36.00 to $48.00 per hour
