Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering field
  • 2+ years of solid waste experience
  • Experience with landfill gas management
  • Experience with air compliance
  • Experience with landfill design
  • Experience with permitting
  • AutoCAD or comparable CAD experience
  • Florida regulations experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
  • Valid driver’s license with driving record in good standing
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering and design support for solid waste projects
  • Support landfill, landfill gas, compost, and solid waste management projects
  • Develop engineering solutions related to stormwater, industrial wastewater, air quality, and landfill gas systems
  • Support environmental compliance activities
  • Prepare permitting documents and related engineering support materials
  • Support landfill design activities
  • Support construction and operations activities for solid waste projects
  • Support environmental monitoring activities
  • Use AutoCAD or comparable CAD software for engineering design work
  • Apply Florida regulations to engineering, design, compliance, and permitting work


Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
