Summary: Life Safety Systems Designer responsible for creating 2D/3D design deliverables and BIM models for fire alarm, detection, and security systems.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of AutoCAD experience
  • Systems design experience with:
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Voice evacuation systems
    • Gas detection systems
    • VESDA systems
    • Access control systems
    • CCTV systems

Preferred Skills

  • Revit or Revit MEP experience
  • 3–5 years of life safety systems design experience
  • Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 101, and NFPA 72
  • Familiarity with fire and life safety manufacturers’ equipment
  • Industrial facility design experience
  • Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) or similar drafting certification

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver life safety design packages in coordination with multi-discipline engineers and design leads
  • Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create and maintain coordinated 3D BIM models
  • Develop layouts and drawings for fire alarm detection systems
  • Develop layouts and drawings for HPM leak detection systems
  • Develop layouts and drawings for toxic gas management systems
  • Develop layouts and drawings for security and intrusion detection systems


Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
