Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong design engineering experience
  • Sheet metal design experience
  • Design for Manufacturing experience
  • Electrical switchgear experience
  • Strong CAD experience
  • Experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent CAD software
  • Experience creating and modifying mechanical designs, drawings, and models

Preferred Skills

  • SolidEdge experience
  • SolidWorks experience
  • Inventor experience
  • Experience designing sheet metal enclosures, panels, cabinets, or related fabricated components
  • Experience supporting manufacturing teams with design updates and production-ready documentation
  • Experience with mechanical design for electrical equipment or power distribution products

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical designs for electrical switchgear and related equipment
  • Create and update sheet metal designs for enclosures, panels, cabinets, and components
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing principles to improve manufacturability and production efficiency
  • Create and modify CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings
  • Use SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or related CAD tools to support design work
  • Review designs for fit, form, function, manufacturability, and production requirements
  • Support design revisions, product updates, and engineering documentation
  • Coordinate design requirements with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams
  • Resolve design issues related to sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and switchgear applications


Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
