Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing automation and packaging equipment, creating SolidWorks models, supporting machine builds, and resolving technical design issues.

Job Requirements

  • 4–8 years of mechanical design experience

  • Mechanical design experience within automation, packaging equipment, or related machinery

  • SolidWorks experience

  • Automation equipment design experience

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles

  • Strong knowledge of materials

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical design issues

  • Experience supporting equipment builds

  • Experience supporting mechanical troubleshooting activities

Preferred Skills

  • Packaging equipment design experience

  • Machine design experience

  • Experience designing parts, assemblies, and mechanical systems in SolidWorks

  • Experience creating detailed drawings and manufacturing documentation

  • Experience collaborating with controls, manufacturing, assembly, and engineering teams

  • Experience supporting equipment installation, debugging, or startup activities

Job Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical systems and components for automation and packaging equipment

  • Create SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings

  • Apply mechanical design principles, material knowledge, and manufacturing process knowledge to equipment design

  • Analyze and resolve technical issues related to mechanical design and machine performance

  • Support equipment build activities from design through assembly

  • Provide mechanical troubleshooting support during equipment build and testing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design requirements, build issues, and equipment improvements

  • Update mechanical designs based on testing, troubleshooting, and production feedback

  • Prepare design documentation to support fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing

Pay: 70k-95k

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
