CNC Machinist responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC multi-axis lathes to produce close-tolerance parts from engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years of CNC machining experience
  • Mazak MSY experience
  • Live tooling experience
  • Experience with metals, exotic metals, and plastics
  • GD&T and close-tolerance machining experience
  • Experience inspecting completed work
  • Experience troubleshooting machining issues
  • Experience recommending tooling solutions
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches

Preferred Skills

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience programming CNC multi-axis lathes
  • Experience determining machining processes, tooling, and programming requirements
  • Experience machining close-tolerance parts from exotic metals
  • Experience performing in-process inspections

Job Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and run CNC multi-axis lathes
  • Operate Mazak MSY equipment with live tooling
  • Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches
  • Determine machining processes, tooling, and programming requirements
  • Machine parts from metals, exotic metals, and plastics
  • Apply GD&T requirements to close-tolerance machining work
  • Inspect work to verify dimensional accuracy and specification compliance
  • Troubleshoot machining issues during setup and production
  • Recommend tooling changes or process adjustments as needed
  • Maintain part quality through setup, operation, inspection, and adjustment activities


Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
