Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering required
  • Engineer in Training certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of structural engineering experience
  • Experience with U.S. building codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC
  • Experience with structural engineering analysis software
  • Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
  • Experience with lateral analysis and design, including wind and seismic provisions

Preferred Skills

  • Master of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
  • Master of Science in Structural Engineering
  • Experience in semiconductor industrial facilities
  • Experience in general industrial facilities
  • Experience checking structural calculations
  • Experience forecasting level of effort for assigned structural scope

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform conventional structural engineering analysis and design under general supervision
  • Evaluate, select, and adapt engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with guidance
  • Apply principles and practices of lateral analysis and design for wind and seismic requirements
  • Apply required provisions of applicable building codes
  • Perform calculation checks of other engineers’ work
  • Manage assigned structural engineering workload
  • Define assigned scope and estimate effort required to complete that scope
  • Complete assigned structural scope according to schedule, budget, and quality requirements
  • Determine requirements for tasks with undefined conditions of satisfaction
  • Support quality control through review of assigned engineering work


Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
