Electrical Designer

BIM electrical design role supporting construction projects through modeling, electrical systems design, and standards-based documentation.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of BIM design experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and the construction industry

• Growing understanding of how codes and standards influence design decisions

• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function

• Basic understanding of wiring and cabling connections in relation to circuits and links between devices and equipment

• Experience following client design and modeling standards

• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software

• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on markups and verbal direction

Preferred Skills

• At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience

• Understanding of data center environments

• Knowledge of power, cable routing, and lighting systems

• Knowledge of electrical systems and one-line diagrams

• Experience supporting electrical BIM deliverables in construction projects

Job Responsibilities

• Develop BIM models for electrical systems on construction projects

• Support electrical systems design and documentation

• Apply client design and modeling standards to project deliverables

• Interpret codes, standards, and specifications in design work

• Review and respond to markups using Bluebeam or similar software

• Estimate design and modeling hours based on project markups and verbal direction

• Support design of wiring, cabling, device connections, and equipment links

• Assist with power, cable routing, lighting layouts, and one-line diagram development

Pay: 23-31/hr

Pay Details: $23.00 to $31.00 per hour
