Robotics Control Engineer
Robotics controls engineering role focused on control system design, robot integration, commissioning, and customer support for automated equipment across client sites nationwide.
Job Requirements
- Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology degree; associate degree with equivalent relevant experience may be considered
- Extensive experience working with robotics and automated equipment
- Experience with controls system design for robotic cells, pick-and-place systems, and related automation projects
- Experience with PLC programming, including Rockwell/Allen-Bradley; Siemens experience is a plus
- Experience with robotic programming
- Experience with servo motors
- Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
- Experience with field bus networks
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical design, including panel layouts, panel build documentation, and schematics
- Knowledge of automation engineering practices and safety standards, including NFPA 79
- Experience commissioning automated equipment
- Ability to travel continuously to client sites across the country
- Ability to travel for pre-sales meetings, testing, acceptance, commissioning, and post-installation support
- Fluent English, written and spoken

- Experience with controls hardware design engineering
- Experience creating schematics, panel layouts, parts lists, and field connection diagrams
- Experience with material selection and vendor analysis
- Experience managing subprojects
- Experience supporting sales and quoting activities
- Experience training customers on automated systems
- Hands-on experience in mechanics and controls
- Experience providing post-sale technical service and support
Job Responsibilities
- Program robotic and controls systems for automation projects
- Design controls hardware for robotic and automated equipment systems
- Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, parts lists, and field connection diagrams
- Support material selection, vendor analysis, and parts ordering
- Commission automated equipment at customer sites
- Train customers on system operation and controls functionality
- Provide service and technical support after installation
- Manage assigned subprojects related to controls and robotics
- Support sales and quoting activities with technical input
- Travel as required for pre-sales meetings, testing, acceptance, commissioning, and ongoing support
Pay Details: $58.00 to $78.00 per hour
