Senior Structural Engineer responsible for leading structural design for steel, concrete, and foundation systems while producing engineering deliverables, specifications, bid packages, and construction support documentation.

Job Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Experience in structural design for concrete and steel systems
  • Experience in foundation design
  • Experience coordinating with geotechnical firms
  • Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and translate requirements into structural design
  • Experience with wind design and seismic design
  • Familiarity with applicable structural design codes
  • Experience using RISA or similar structural analysis software
  • Proficiency with civil and structural engineering design criteria
  • Experience leading design teams
  • Experience directing design and drafting activities
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience writing specifications
  • Experience creating bid packages
  • Experience responding to construction inquiries
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and interpretation of analysis results to develop design recommendations
  • Broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices

  • Experience developing or overseeing 3D models
  • Experience producing steel drawings, concrete drawings, and connection details
  • Experience preparing structural calculations
  • Experience developing Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Experience preparing Engineering Work Packages (EWPs)

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead structural engineering design for steel, concrete, and foundation systems
  • Coordinate structural requirements with geotechnical consultants
  • Review geotechnical reports and incorporate findings into design packages
  • Direct design and drafting activities for structural projects
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and design staff
  • Prepare and review specifications and bid packages
  • Develop structural calculations and design recommendations
  • Produce or oversee the production of 3D models, drawings, and connection details
  • Prepare or oversee Bills of Material and Engineering Work Packages
  • Support project scoping, scheduling, budgeting, staffing plans, and estimates
  • Review structural analysis results and apply findings to final design
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and design criteria
  • Respond to construction-phase technical inquiries and support project execution
  • Communicate design requirements, clarifications, and technical direction to project stakeholders


Pay Details: $54.00 to $72.00 per hour
