SMT Operator II/III

Sets up, operates, and monitors SMT production equipment while inspecting electronic assemblies for quality and compliance with applicable manufacturing standards.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of relevant manufacturing or machine operation experience.

• Ability to read and follow basic work instructions.

• Basic computer skills.

• Experience performing visual inspection of electronic assemblies.

• Ability to identify solder defects, component placement errors, missing components, and other assembly issues.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience operating SMT production lines.

• Experience with Fuzion and/or Genesis SMT equipment.

• Experience operating Pick and Place machines.

• Experience with solder paste inspection equipment.

• Experience with X-Ray inspection equipment.

• Experience operating Juki printers.

• Experience with AOI equipment.

• SMT and through-hole soldering experience.

• Experience working with electronic components.

• Knowledge of IPC J-STD requirements.

• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 acceptance standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Fuzion and/or Genesis SMT production lines.

• Operate Pick and Place machines, solder paste inspection equipment, X-Ray equipment, and Juki printers.

• Monitor SMT equipment continuously during production runs.

• Visually inspect assemblies for solder quality, component placement accuracy, missing parts, and other defects.

• Verify assemblies meet applicable quality requirements and production standards.

• Report equipment, production, and quality issues to production leadership.

• Support continuous improvement activities related to SMT production processes.

• Follow established manufacturing safety procedures and report unsafe equipment or conditions.

• Assist with training on SMT equipment and production processes as required.

• Perform daily cleaning and organization of work areas and equipment.

• Maintain production equipment and workstations in accordance with established housekeeping requirements.

• Support additional electronic assembly and production activities as assigned.

Pay: 25-31/hr

Pay Details: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour
