Develops and manages electrical estimates, bid packages, and project cost evaluations for industrial and commercial construction projects.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in industrial or commercial construction in field and/or office-based roles.
  • Expertise reading and interpreting complex construction plans, specifications, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience managing multiple bids, estimates, and proposal deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating estimating requirements with vendors, subcontractors, project teams, and other project stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of electrical construction methods and estimating processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Electrical estimating experience focused on industrial and commercial construction.
  • Proficiency with McCormick estimating software.
  • Experience with Bluebeam and other construction software tools.
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing and electrical construction practices.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent advanced field experience.
  • Experience supervising technical or estimating personnel.
  • Experience with design-build or design-assist projects.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation and controls.
  • Experience evaluating project risk, cost, and profitability.
  • Knowledge of regional labor markets, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical estimates for industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • Review construction plans, specifications, electrical schematics, and project documentation to determine scope and requirements.
  • Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor cost estimates.
  • Manage multiple bids and estimating deadlines.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Coordinate bid requirements with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify scope gaps, cost considerations, and project risks during the estimating process.
  • Apply NEC requirements and construction sequencing considerations to estimates.
  • Support design-build and design-assist estimating activities.
  • Use estimating and construction software to develop and maintain bid documentation.
  • Evaluate labor, supplier, subcontractor, and material considerations during project estimating.


Pay Details: $33.00 to $45.00 per hour
