Controls Engineer
Commissions and integrates new automated manufacturing equipment onsite using Allen-Bradley PLCs, FANUC robotics, HMIs, motion controls, and industrial communication networks.
Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Experience with FANUC robots.
- Experience commissioning and integrating new automated equipment.
- Experience in controls or automation systems integration rather than primarily production support.
- Intermediate knowledge of electrical circuits and electrical panel design.
- Intermediate knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic system design.
- Intermediate knowledge of PLCs and HMIs.
- Intermediate knowledge of robot programming.
- Intermediate knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Intermediate knowledge of servo applications.
- Experience with industrial communication networks including DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and Profibus.
- Ability to work onsite at customer facilities.
- Availability to work approximately 45–55 hours per week, including occasional weekends.
- Ability to independently support onsite commissioning activities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Ignition HMI/SCADA.
- Experience integrating PLCs, robots, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
- Experience supporting aerospace manufacturing or automated manufacturing environments.
- Experience troubleshooting automated equipment during installation and startup.
Job Responsibilities
- Commission and integrate new automated manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot FANUC robotic systems.
- Integrate PLCs, HMIs, robots, VFDs, servo systems, and field devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, and automation issues during commissioning.
- Configure and troubleshoot DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, and related industrial networks.
- Perform equipment startup, functional testing, debugging, and validation.
- Participate in open-issue reviews related to equipment installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate technical issues between onsite customer personnel and automation engineering teams.
- Document commissioning issues, system changes, and corrective actions.
- Support equipment handoff from installation and commissioning into production.
Pay Details: $67.00 to $90.00 per hour
