Electrician
Build, wire, inspect, and troubleshoot industrial electrical control panels and automation systems in accordance with applicable electrical standards.
Job Requirements
- Experience building and wiring industrial control panels
- State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license and/or certification through a federal Maintenance Electrician program
- Knowledge of NEC / NFPA 70 requirements
- Knowledge of NFPA 79 requirements
- Knowledge of UL 508A standards
- Experience with industrial electrical wiring and control systems
- Ability to work with 480 VAC and 24 VDC control circuits
Preferred Skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience wiring PLCs
- Experience wiring variable frequency drives
- Experience wiring servo drives
- Experience wiring disconnects, fuses, contactors, and relays
- Experience with industrial automation equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical control panels
Job Responsibilities
- Build and wire industrial electrical control panels
- Install and terminate electrical components according to schematics and design requirements
- Wire PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, disconnects, fuses, contactors, relays, and related control components
- Perform 480 VAC and 24 VDC control wiring
- Read and apply electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Inspect completed control panels for compliance with engineering requirements
- Apply NEC / NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL 508A requirements
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring and control system issues
- Verify electrical connections, component installation, and circuit functionality
- Support testing and commissioning of completed control panels and automation systems
Pay Details: $27.00 to $37.00 per hour
