Controls Engineer
Controls engineering role focused on ground-up control panel, SCADA, instrumentation, scale system, PLC, and custom automation project design.
Requirements
- 10+ years of control systems experience in industrial, utilities, municipal, or manufacturing environments
- Experience designing and implementing technical solutions for control panels, SCADA systems, instrumentation, scale systems, and custom control projects
- Experience developing control system solutions from the ground up
- Experience defining project scope
- Experience developing conceptual designs based on customer requirements
- Experience with industrial automation best practices
- Experience designing control systems compatible with SCADA and PLC platforms
- Hands-on PLC programming experience
- Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience
- SCADA system configuration experience
- SCADA system integration experience
- SCADA system troubleshooting experience
- Understanding of control panels, instrumentation, and automation hardware
Preferred Skills
- Siemens PLC experience
- Water and wastewater industry application experience
- Automation and controls engineering experience in industrial or municipal settings
- Experience designing and implementing PLC-based systems
- Experience designing SCADA architectures
- Experience designing instrumentation solutions
- Scale system integration experience
- Custom control project experience
Responsibilities
- Design technical solutions for control panels, SCADA systems, instrumentation, scale systems, and custom control projects
- Implement control system solutions from initial concept through project delivery
- Define project scope for automation and controls projects
- Develop conceptual designs that meet customer requirements
- Design control systems aligned with industrial automation best practices
- Develop control system designs compatible with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms
- Support Siemens PLC compatibility when required
- Program PLC systems for industrial automation applications
- Configure SCADA systems
- Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, instrumentation, and control hardware
- Troubleshoot SCADA and PLC system issues
- Design and support control panels, instrumentation, and automation hardware
- Develop PLC-based control system solutions
- Support custom automation projects for industrial, utilities, municipal, and manufacturing environments
Pay Details: $40.00 to $55.00 per hour
