Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical design engineering role focused on automated assembly systems, custom machinery, industrial automation, component selection, and mechanical system integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience
• Experience with automated assembly systems
• Experience with custom machinery, industrial automation, robotics, or special-purpose equipment
• Creo proficiency
• SolidWorks proficiency
• Experience with Windchill PDM/PLM for design data management
• Understanding of mechanical machine design
• Understanding of automated assembly equipment
• Understanding of pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Understanding of motion control components
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability
• Experience with component selection and system integration
• Knowledge of GD&T
• Knowledge of engineering drawing standards

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for automated assembly equipment
• Develop mechanical designs for custom machinery and industrial automation systems
• Support robotics and special-purpose equipment design projects
• Select components for mechanical, pneumatic, and motion control systems
• Integrate components into automated equipment designs
• Apply Design for Manufacturability principles to mechanical designs
• Create and maintain engineering drawings according to GD&T and drawing standards
• Manage design data using Windchill PDM/PLM
• Support mechanical system integration for automated equipment
• Develop designs that support manufacturing, assembly, and production requirements

Pay Details: $44.00 to $58.00 per hour
