Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with electrical system design
  • Experience with schematic capture
  • Understanding of DC power distribution
  • Understanding of circuit protection
  • Experience developing engineering test plans
  • Experience executing engineering test plans
  • Familiarity with aircraft or vehicle data buses, including CAN, RS-485, ARINC-429, or similar systems
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Experience troubleshooting system integration issues
  • Experience working in lab, integration, and test environments
  • Ability to work onsite in Sterling, VA
  • Ability to travel to flight-test locations for extended periods during test campaigns

  • Capital Component Manager experience
  • Capital Logic experience
  • Capital Harness experience
  • Experience with similar harness design tools
  • Knowledge of aircraft wiring standards, including IPC/WHMA-A-620 or AS508
  • Familiarity with RF systems used for navigation

  • Experience supporting integration labs

Job Responsibilities

  • Support design and integration of aircraft avionics systems
  • Support design and integration of aircraft electrical systems
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics
  • Develop and maintain wiring harness designs
  • Perform electrical power distribution analysis
  • Perform circuit sizing and protection design
  • Support data bus architecture and signal integrity analysis
  • Support vehicle integration and test activities
  • Support Hardware-in-the-Loop integration and testing
  • Assist with subsystem testing, including engine stand integration
  • Perform component testing and environmental qualification
  • Support Design Verification Testing planning and execution
  • Troubleshoot integration issues across electrical, software, and communication systems
  • Serve as technical liaison between engineering and technicians
  • Maintain harness drawings
  • Implement redlines and engineering updates
  • Support harness fabrication and system bring-up
  • Support sensor integration, data acquisition, and debug activities


Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
