Body Shop Technician
Body Shop C Technician responsible for assisting with heavy-duty truck and fire apparatus body repair, surface preparation, painting, and vehicle disassembly and reassembly.
Job Requirements

At least 1 year of body shop experience, training, or related education preferred
-
Experience with automotive, heavy-duty truck, collision repair, or vehicle painting
-
Ability to use hand tools, dual-action sanders, grinders, and other body shop equipment
-
Basic knowledge of vehicle body components and repair processes
-
Ability to read and follow work orders and repair instructions
-
Ability to identify surface conditions and prepare surfaces for paint
-
Ability to perform sanding, grinding, masking, priming, and related preparation work
-
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
-
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
-
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull
-
Ability to climb ladders approximately 10 feet or higher
-
Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring hand-eye coordination

Ability to operate a motor vehicle
Preferred Skills
-
Heavy-duty truck or fire apparatus body repair experience

Collision repair and refinishing training
-
Basic painting and priming experience
-
Automotive or commercial vehicle painting experience
-
Pennsylvania CDL with air brake and tanker endorsement
-
ASE certification
-
Automotive or commercial painting certifications
-
DuPont or Sikkens paint system experience
-
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Job Responsibilities

Assist with inspecting heavy-duty trucks and fire apparatus for body damage
-
Prepare vehicles and components for body repair and painting
-
Perform sanding, grinding, priming, masking, and unmasking
-
Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components for repair and refinishing
-
Operate sanders, grinders, hand tools, and body shop equipment
-
Prepare surfaces for primer and paint application
-
Assist with spraying primer and paint
-
Support collision and body repair activities
-
Maintain paint booth equipment and paint mixing areas
-
Assist with maintenance of shop equipment and air compressors
-
Follow work orders, repair procedures, and production instructions
-
Inspect completed preparation and repair work for quality requirements
-
Maintain clean and organized body shop work areas
Pay Details: $23.00 to $38.00 per hour
