Line Lead - WE3rd Shift (Forming department)
Production Team Lead responsible for line operations, employee training, production performance, quality compliance, equipment troubleshooting, and 5S execution within a manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products and email.

Ability to perform all production positions assigned to the manufacturing line.

Ability to train production employees on standard operating procedures.
-
Experience tracking hourly production rates and takt time.
-
Ability to perform first-level equipment repairs and machine downtime investigations.
-
Ability to distinguish colors and demonstrate required depth perception for inspection and production activities.
-
Ability to work in manufacturing environments involving noise, vibration, oils, petroleum products, solvents, and degreasers.

Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds and perform additional material handling activities as required.

Ability to push or pull 25–50 pounds.
-
Ability to work irregular or extended hours as required.
Preferred Skills

Previous manufacturing experience.

Experience with 5S manufacturing practices.

Experience conducting production or quality audits.

Experience with rapid problem-solving processes.

Experience with production schedules and takt-time tracking.

Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.

Experience supporting corrective actions for defective products and production abnormalities.
Job Responsibilities
-
Perform production line positions as needed to support manufacturing operations.
-
Train employees on new and existing standard operating procedures.
-
Verify workstations meet safety, quality, and 5S requirements.

Conduct production, quality, and 5S audits.
-
Lead rapid problem-solving activities for assigned production cells.
-
Stop production and initiate escalation procedures when process abnormalities are identified.
-
Monitor compliance with production requirements, including training, 5S, and equipment functionality.

Track hourly production rates and takt time against production schedules.
-
Escalate production delays or performance issues as required.

Identify defective products and take action to contain quality issues.

Support recovery to established first-piece production standards.

Investigate machine downtime and perform first-level equipment repairs.

Support corrective actions to reduce production loss and restore manufacturing operations.
Pay Details: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
