Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing QC Inspector

Senior Quality Inspector responsible for dimensional inspection, RMA disposition, nonconforming material control, and quality reporting for sheet metal and machined components.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience inspecting sheet metal and/or machined parts.

• Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.

• Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and related inspection equipment.

• Experience performing dimensional inspections on machined components.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel.

• Experience maintaining product acceptance and rejection records.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SolidWorks.

• Experience with RMA evaluation and disposition processes.

• Experience with DMR or nonconforming material databases.

• Experience with corrective and preventive action programs.

• Experience creating repair or remake work orders.

• Experience preparing quality reports for business or management review.

Job Responsibilities

• Interpret customer specifications and engineering requirements.

• Evaluate returned material authorizations (RMAs) and determine appropriate disposition.

• Manage RMA disposition activities and maintain the RMA database.

• Enter and disposition nonconforming material within the DMR database.

• Create RMA work orders for product repair or remake.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of sheet metal parts.

• Perform dimensional inspections on machined components.

• Use SolidWorks to provide dimensional and technical information to manufacturing departments.

• Support resolution of manufacturing quality issues.

• Maintain quality reports for business review activities.

• Maintain accurate acceptance and rejection records.

• Participate in corrective and preventive action activities.

Pay: 26-32/hr

Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
