Welder

Fabricates, welds, assembles, installs, and inspects stainless steel and mild steel components, piping systems, and industrial equipment using multiple welding processes and fabrication tools.

Job Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience welding stainless steel and mild steel.

• Experience with GTAW welding.

• Experience with GMAW welding.

• Experience with FCAW welding.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and welding symbols.

• Ability to work from Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) and assembly drawings.

• Experience using grinding equipment, band saws, plasma torches, and related fabrication tools.

• Mechanical experience using hand tools, cranes, lifts, and forklifts.

• Experience with instrumentation and process control installation.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Experience performing dimensional inspections using micrometers, tape measures, and angle measurement tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with orbital welding.

• Experience fabricating gas distribution systems.

• Experience assembling or operating vacuum equipment.

• Experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning industrial equipment.

• Experience with electronic instrumentation and process controls.

• Experience performing incoming and subassembly inspections.

• Experience with vacuum furnace systems.

• Field service experience involving industrial equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate stainless steel and mild steel components and assemblies according to engineering drawings.

• Perform GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding operations.

• Perform orbital welding for gas distribution system fabrication as required.

• Cut, grind, fit, and prepare components using band saws, plasma torches, grinders, and related equipment.

• Perform welding in accordance with approved welding procedure specifications.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, welding symbols, P&IDs, and assembly drawings.

• Assemble piping, structural frames, gas distribution systems, and related equipment.

• Install instrumentation and process control components.

• Perform incoming material and subassembly inspections.

• Inspect dimensions using micrometers, tape measures, angle measurement tools, and other inspection equipment.

• Support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of industrial equipment.

• Assemble vacuum furnaces, including piping, frames, and gas distribution systems as required.

• Operate and test vacuum furnaces, including loading, monitoring, unloading, fluid servicing, and insulation repair or replacement.

• Perform field service activities on vacuum furnaces and related components as required.

• Support shipping and receiving activities, including incoming order inspections.

Pay: 30-32/hr

Pay Details: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour
