Test/Quality Technician
Perform electrical, mechanical, and functional testing of air conditioning systems and components to verify compliance with engineering and quality requirements.
Job Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, quality control, testing, or a related environment.
- Experience performing product testing on HVAC or air conditioning equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Experience using multimeters.
- Experience using pressure gauges.
- Experience using calipers.
- Experience using data loggers.
- Experience inspecting mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Ability to lift approximately 30–50 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HVAC system testing.
- Experience with pressure testing and leak checks.
- Experience performing system evacuation and refrigerant charging.
- Experience with end-of-line functional testing.
- Experience diagnosing electrical and mechanical defects.
- Experience with incoming, in-process, and final quality inspection.
- Experience working with refrigeration systems and related regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing on air conditioning units.
- Conduct pressure checks and leak testing.
- Perform system evacuation and refrigerant charging.
- Evaluate unit performance under varying operating conditions.
- Perform end-of-line functional testing.
- Inspect incoming raw materials for defects or nonconformance.
- Inspect in-process mechanical and electrical assemblies.
- Inspect completed air conditioning units against engineering and quality requirements.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and operational defects.
- Use multimeters, pressure gauges, calipers, and data loggers during testing and inspection.
- Document test results, inspection findings, and nonconformances.
- Support investigation and resolution of production and quality issues.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
