Join metal components using brazing processes while following technical drawings, preparation procedures, and quality requirements.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of brazing experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience using torches and brazing filler metals.
- Experience preparing metal surfaces for brazing.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Experience inspecting brazed joints for defects.
Preferred Skills
- Experience brazing with brass, bronze, or similar filler alloys.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience inspecting assemblies for cracks, leaks, and structural defects.
- Knowledge of metal preparation, cleaning, and oxidation removal techniques.
Job Responsibilities
- Join metal components using brazing techniques and high-temperature torches.
- Apply brazing filler metals while maintaining base metals below their melting point.
- Read and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Align and assemble components prior to brazing.
- Clean and prepare metal surfaces by removing oil, dirt, oxidation, and other contaminants.
- Inspect completed brazed joints for cracks, leaks, and structural defects.
- Verify finished assemblies meet applicable production and quality requirements.
- Maintain brazing tools and equipment used during production.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
