Sheet Metal Assemblers

Performs sheet metal fabrication and assembly using hand and power tools, with opportunities for internal training into machining operations.

Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience with drills, drill bits, grinders, and cutoff tools.
• Experience performing basic fabrication or mechanical assembly work.
• Experience working with sheet metal or light plate materials.
• Ability to work with material thicknesses ranging approximately from .050 inch to .25 inch.
• Stable work history preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with relevant hands-on experience may be considered.

Preferred Skills

• Blueprint reading experience.
• Experience assembling sheet metal enclosures, cabinets, boxes, or panels.
• Experience with light fabrication or machine shop environments.
• Experience preparing or finishing fabricated metal components.
• Interest in developing machining skills through structured internal training.

Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components.
• Use hand tools and power tools to drill, grind, cut, and prepare materials.
• Assemble enclosures, cabinets, boxes, panels, and related fabricated components.
• Work with sheet metal and light plate materials in varying thicknesses.
• Follow blueprints, drawings, or work instructions when applicable.
• Inspect fabricated and assembled components for dimensional and assembly requirements.
• Prepare parts for downstream machining, assembly, or finishing operations.
• Maintain fabrication tools and equipment in working condition.
• Participate in internal machining training as assigned.

Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
