Performs cable preparation, connector assembly, soldering, in-process inspection, testing, and production documentation according to established assembly procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Basic math skills.

  • Ability to work from product drawings, assembly procedures, written instructions, and verbal instructions.

  • Experience using hand tools and semi-automated tools or fixtures.

  • Experience preparing cables and connector components for assembly.

  • Experience performing in-process workmanship and dimensional inspections.

  • Experience maintaining production records and assembly documentation.

  • Ability to use mechanical inspection equipment, including calipers, drop indicators, interface gauges, or similar tools.

Preferred Skills

  • J-STD-001 soldering certification.

  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 cable and wire harness assembly certification.

  • Cable assembly soldering experience.

  • Experience assembling contacts and connector assemblies.

  • Experience performing dimensional and workmanship inspections.

  • Experience in electronics, cable, or electromechanical manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare cables according to documented assembly procedures.

  • Solder contacts and connector assemblies as required.

  • Assemble cable components using approved tooling, fixtures, and materials.

  • Perform in-process workmanship and dimensional inspections.

  • Conduct applicable assembly tests according to established procedures.

  • Record and document assembly and inspection data.

  • Complete labor, material, and production transactions in applicable systems.

  • Verify completed assemblies meet applicable drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Support resolution of assembly issues with Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Engineering.

  • Perform approved process adjustments or rework when required.

  • Maintain tooling and materials according to established production procedures.

Pay: 20-26/hr

Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
